Scope of this notice
This notice describes the current TeaPlain site build, including its English tea encyclopedia and practical guides. It does not describe a future advertising or analytics setup. Contact hi@teaplain.com with a privacy question.
Search and browsing
The search box filters an index already included in the page. The search feature does not send the words you type to a search service or analytics endpoint, and does not save a search history in cookies or browser storage.
This build does not include account registration, a newsletter signup, a comment submission form, advertising tags or third-party analytics scripts. Images, fonts and other page assets used by the English reading path are served with the site rather than embedded from social platforms.
TeaPlain is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Page and asset requests pass through Cloudflare, which processes connection and traffic information, including IP addresses, to provide its services. Hosting and security processing is separate from the local on-page search described above. We do not promise that hosting creates no logs or state an unverified fixed retention period for provider records.
Email you choose to send
Selecting a mail link opens your email application; sending a message is your choice. A message you send can include your email address, message text and any attachments. The recipient mailbox and the email services involved process that message.
Send only information needed for your question or correction. To ask about a message you have sent, use hi@teaplain.com. We do not state an unverified fixed retention period or promise automatic deletion.
Links to other websites
Source links and licence links lead to other websites when you select them. Their privacy practices apply there. The browser may send connection and referrer information when navigating; a source link is different from an embedded third-party tracking script.
Changes to this setup
If analytics, advertisements, additional storage, forms or other services are introduced, this description and any necessary user controls must be reviewed before enabling them. The date above records this version’s review, not continuous monitoring of third-party services.
